Your best customers deserve more than a ticket number. Give each one a home in Slack where your whole team sees every WhatsApp message they have ever sent, and can pick up the conversation at any time.
Pick the layout that fits your WhatsApp relationships
Social Intents offers three ways to run WhatsApp in Slack. Pinned contact channels are made for long-term relationships.
New channel for each chat
Every conversation gets its own short-lived channel. Great for high-volume website chat and one-off questions.
Threaded mode
Keep every chat as a thread in your inbound channel. Ideal for a busy shared queue that you want to keep tidy.
One channel per WhatsApp contact
Each WhatsApp contact is pinned to a permanent channel. Every conversation lands there, and you can message them from it any time.
Website chats keep working the way they do today. Switch layouts any time in Settings.
Everything about a customer, in the channel your team already has open. No shared phone, no separate WhatsApp tool, no digging through old tickets.
Named for the customer, not a ticket. Each channel is named after the contact and their company, with their phone and email in the topic and a contact card at the top.
Every conversation, one scrollback. New conversations with the same customer go to the same channel, so anyone can catch up on months of context in seconds.
Reach out first, right from Slack. Post in a customer's channel any time and it is sent to their WhatsApp. If Meta's 24-hour window has closed, your approved re-engagement template goes out instead.
Reactions and replies keep their context. When a customer reacts to or quote-replies to a message, it shows up in that message's Slack thread. Reply in a thread and they see a quoted reply on WhatsApp.
Invite the right people
It is a normal Slack channel. Add the account manager, project lead, or exec sponsor for each customer so everyone stays in the loop.
Company detected for you
The company name comes from the contact record or their business email domain, so channels are easy to find in the Slack sidebar.
Details stay current
When a contact's name, company, or email changes, the channel topic updates automatically.
Never auto-archived
Contact channels stay put when a conversation ends. If one is ever deleted, a fresh channel is created the next time the customer writes in.
Photos, files, and voice notes
WhatsApp media lands in the channel alongside the text, so job photos, invoices, and voice notes are part of the record.
Agentes ilimitados
No per-seat pricing on Basic plans and up. Anyone you invite to a channel can help that customer.
Made for teams with a few dozen customers who matter most. Not a few thousand tickets.
When every relationship counts, everyone on the account should see the whole conversation.
A channel for every retainer client
Account managers, designers, and strategists see the same client thread, so requests never get lost in someone's personal phone.
Your top accounts, always in context
Distributors, wholesalers, and enterprise buyers who order over WhatsApp get a team that already knows their history.
White-glove service that scales past one person
Advisors, property managers, and concierge teams can cover for each other without asking "what did they say last time?"
A shared phone can't give you this
When key customers message one person's WhatsApp, context walks out the door with them. Pinned Slack channels keep it with the team.
WhatsApp on someone's phone
- Only one person sees the conversation
- Vacations and sick days mean slow replies
- History leaves when the employee does
- Screenshots forwarded into Slack to ask for help
Pinned Slack channels
- The whole account team sees every message
- Anyone in the channel can reply from Slack
- History stays with the company, in one channel per customer
- Discuss internally in threads, right next to the conversation

About the WhatsApp to Slack integration and pinned contact channels
Social Intents connects your WhatsApp Business number to your Slack workspace through the official WhatsApp Business Platform. Incoming WhatsApp messages are posted to Slack, and anything your team types in the conversation is sent back to the customer on WhatsApp. Photos, documents, and voice notes come through too, so nobody needs to share a phone or log in to a separate tool.
It pins each WhatsApp contact to their own permanent Slack channel. The first time a customer messages you, Social Intents creates a channel named after them, such as #wa-acme-plumbing-john-smith-3051, sets the topic to their name, company, phone, and email, and posts a contact card. Every future conversation with that customer goes to the same channel, so the full history stays in one place.
Yes. Post in the customer's channel at any time and Social Intents sends it to them on WhatsApp, reopening their most recent conversation or starting a new one. If WhatsApp's 24-hour customer service window has closed, Social Intents sends your approved re-engagement template instead and lets your team know in the channel, so you can continue as soon as the customer replies.
Yes. When a customer reacts to or quote-replies to one of your messages on WhatsApp, it is posted in the Slack thread of the message it refers to, and replies are also shown in the channel so they are not missed. When your team replies inside a Slack thread, the customer sees it on WhatsApp as a quoted reply to their original message.
No. Per-contact channels are meant to be permanent and are not archived when a conversation ends. If someone deletes a contact's channel, Social Intents creates a new one the next time that customer messages you.
It works best for teams with a few dozen key customers, clients, or accounts that deserve high-touch service, such as agencies, B2B account managers, distributors, advisors, and concierge teams. If you handle a high volume of one-off WhatsApp chats, the New channel for each chat or Threaded mode layouts are usually a better fit.
No. The per-contact layout applies to WhatsApp conversations only. Website chats still get a new Slack channel for each chat, so your existing live chat workflow does not change.
WhatsApp and Slack are included on the Basic plan ($79/month, or $69/month billed annually, 1 WhatsApp number), Pro ($132, or $99 annually, 5 numbers), and Business ($265, or $199 annually, 10 numbers), all with unlimited agents. Meta's WhatsApp fees are billed separately by Meta. A 14-day free trial is available with no credit card required. See pricing.
